Scriptures for maintaining an intimate relationship with God through Adversity
"{8} Draw nigh
to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners;
and purify your hearts, ye doubleminded." - {Jam 4:8 ASV}
In the middle of your adversity/test, brainwash yourself to Praise God for the Victory. Do you remember studying for a test repeatedly reciting aloud what you needed to memorize? It's the same thing when we're tested. In adversity God wants to speak to us, but the devil tries to block us from hearing from God. It's so important to tune the devil out and Praise God, read the bible and wait to hear for direction or a sign from Him: "{21} the people which I formed for myself, that they might set forth my praise." - {Isa 43:21 ASV}
"{15} Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a
sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess his name." - {Hbr
13:15 NIV}
"{5} Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own
understanding; {6} in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make
your paths straight." - {Pro 3:5-6 NIV}
"{1} Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves
from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness
out of reverence for God." - {2Cr 7:1 NIV}
YE MUST BE BORN AGAIN
"{3} Jesus
answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a
man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. {4} Nicodemus saith
unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second
time into his mother's womb, and be born? {5} Jesus answered, Verily,
verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and [of] the
Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." - {Jhn 3:3-5 KJV}
He misunderstood Jesus because he was thinking using human logic. With our physical birth we inherit a carnal and sinful nature because of the sin of Adam and Eve.
"{23} For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" - {Rom 3:23 KJV}
With the Salvation Prayer - God's free gift, he promises to forgive all our sins, cleanse us of all unrighteousness and grant us eternal life in Heaven through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
Pray " Lord Jesus,
forgive me of all of my sins. I know you died on the cross for me. I
repent of my sins and accept you as my Lord and Savior. I turn my back
on sin and I want to follow you for the rest of my life. Please give me
eternal life, In Jesus name. Amen."
Find a church to attend that offers devotional classes, start reading the Bible, get baptized, learn about tithing and helping others. God will open new doors for you. Eternal Life - IT'S FREE!
